FAQ

How many words can one translator produce per day, on average?

  • This depends on the type of text and the type of file, but usually about 2,500 words per day.

I've got a large volume to be translated and a very quick deadline.

  • This is not a problem - we can set up a team of translators specializing in your field. They will be supervised by a Project Manager who is responsible for creating a glossary of recurrent terms so that the terminology is harmonised. The translators will work with each other and with the Project Manager so as to provide you with the highest possible quality.

Can an English translator translate a document from English to French ?

  • Some agencies give translation jobs to translators whose native language is not the target language, but Technical Translation has never done that and never will do that. Though a translator may understand and speak a foreign language more or less perfectly, he or she will never be able to master the little nuances of that language and this will be obvious in the translation.

Will my next set of documents be translated by the same translator?

  • To make sure that the vocabulary used is the same as that used previously, we will use the same translator.

I've got some documents to be translated and I must keep the content strictly confidential. How can I do that?

  •  All our translators observe professional secrecy. For supplementary security, this will be confirmed in a document signed between your company and Technical Translation. The same contract will be used with our translator or translators, responsible for the translation of your text.
